Binatone Carrera X350 GPS system

I'd be really pleased if some-one can help me get and updated version of Australia for my binatone carrera 350

How could you get so many maps? My SD CARD became with WE maps, but they vanished when i tried to install the camera alerts and now i can´t find the maps to put again in my SD card... i wrote a 100s of emails to binatone but i got no answer...

buaght the sat nav for fethers day but how the hell do you get the 2008 map up grade for the uk plz help me

mine did the same but then i swithed it on at the switch at the back then you have to press the power button on the top of the sat nav

would an sd card from a TomTom or other satnavs work in the x350 trying to find euro mapping

look on ebay put in sd cards and you will find 100s

I too have just purchased a X350 and need maps of Europe have you found out how to get hold of them? I live in Australia and will visit Europe later this year.

i have phoned binatone directlty and have been told you will have to buy camera update over the phone (only) for £10. get their phone number from website www.binatonecarrera.com how it works i do not know but chap on phone seened quite polite.

New maps will be available during june 2008 suggest you contact Binatoneon 1300 766 066 for further information. An up grade will cost $A99 I am told

You can get maps by simply trading the SD card that came with your Binatone carrera with someone elses SD card with the maps you need!

I have all europe maps for 2008 including spain and italy. Does anyone have a Binatone with maps of USA? Email me at joelbcohen at (google email).

Does anyone know how upgrade my UK model to use in France

This is the 2nd one now that is faulty, it does not get a GPS signal, can someone please help me, an I doing something wrong?

i have just bought a x350,but the problem is i cant get it to switch on. it only comes up with a message saying binatone and then freezes. any help?

I have the X350 and find it to work fine. But can anyone tell me were to up date my maps from in Australia. When I bought it I was told that I could update the mapes from wereis it But that don't work. Can anyone help me??. Darcy

I have a Binatone Carrera A350 from ARGOS ltd. ARGOS are still selling it, and the bloody thing is not supported by Binatone! Never ever go with these. they are cheap and nasty! Go with a proven make such as Sony or TomTom.

I have an X350 UK & ROI 2nd edition the problem with mine is i messed with some setting now i get a screen uk maps on that line it states locked and at the top it says premium i click on the line and it takes me to a white screen asking me to go to Binatonecarrera where there is no place to put your serial number nobody answers emails ignored how do i get my system back on course. I've tried everything but so far i have a unit now i cannot use Help!!

what a pile of crap satnav works but a speed camera detector that will never work , whats the point of having it . dont buy one

like most of the comments it a good little sat nav
but the back up sevice from binatone is crap
downloaded the speed camera update and it locked
my 6 months free alert. have phoned no answer
have e-mailed with no reply ,thinking of contacting bbc watchdog about the service

I have the same problem as terry i cant even put pics on mine whcih is said and it does not seem to piar with my pc i had to download microsoft active sync but like you said i cant find any map updates to it at all and i cant even take it back :(

what a load of rubbish the X350 is!so discusted i've binned mine, (too embarresed to give it away!!) decided to go back to tomtom!!

ive had the same problems like everyone else i cant download the speed cams or get the correct maps for scotland as they have upgrades my area , they shouldn't sell if they can't supply any feedback , to our problems.

Only hotfix is the melbourne map only, I've contacted website and was told update for australia maps should be about mid 2008.
There is no speed alerts for australia map at present.
Any info you require is on www.binatone.com.au contact support on this website and they will most certainly help you either by email or phone.
As they stated, it is a new productr ange and support will get better in future.

i went to big w to have a look at sat navs and watched the ad they had on a tv screen there and it said that i could download asian maps as i live there from time to time and when i went to do it no maps then i got in contact with support and they told me end of dec.2007 and and they told me that they would email me about it no email no maps

I got an X350 for Christmas (2007) appears to work ok - reasonably happy - don't know how current the mapping is. Am having all sorts of trouble trying to download the Hotfix II from the web site. Sent two "contact us" emails with no reply.

but cant find on net any postal codes or maps updates for 2008

Where is the hotfix for Australian Speed Cameras. I have just purchased the unit and cannot get the speed camera feature to operate. My search of the website only turned up UK updates.

I have has this model for 2 months, have tried to get onto the web site but to upgrade, I've found it impossible to get anywhere. I agree with terry (#389809)there is no support.

i agrre with terry, no idea how to update, and find website u.s. after buying product no one seems to care.

I just got one in Australia and could not be happier with it. They are down to AU$200 as of DEC 2007. You can get the speed camera hotfix now from www.binatonecarrera.com. I have just installed the free speed camera upgrade but have not had a chance to test it yet.

I have one too, but have no idea how to update the map which is old. The website is useless & does no give any support.

I purchased this GPS in Australia recently. At around $270AUD.Good value and ease of use. The only thing i would like to see is more software support as this GPS does not recognise Australian speed cameras. Only in the UK can one buy speed camera enabled maps. Otherwise a great buy
