CECT P168 iFone a poor clone

i would like to know how i set the motion senor on the a88 cuz i dont know how to . and also i would like to reset my fone but the 0000 code and 1122 code dont work somebody please help me

Hi, I just bought this phone (CECT P168)for my husband, and he apparently is having some of the same issues as are being talked about. Anyway, I did some research on the internet, and you can get all your answers by going to www.yzcompany.com/ebay/p168-FAQ.htm It has different links you can click on depending on which phone service you are using. (ex.AT&T, T-mobile, etc..)

how do nyou ser up wap under services and data account in the same tab

I am having huge reception issues with this phone in areas where all my friends have full bars. I have no service????

i bot this modle on ebay two days ago and i have still not got it and with all these problems i seeing i was just wondering was this phone the right chose or was it a bad one i visited like 10 other sites and some of them called it a iclon. and i am so scard that i just wasted 169 dollors on a freaken crappy phone ?? so can some one please just tell me are you satifid with your phone or is it a hunk of junk and has a lot of problems and i am only 15 so i woln't do anything on the internet or anything like that so can you please fill me in!!!

to put music on you cect iphone you have to copy them to the my music folder otherwise the phone will not read them

All who are having problems with the phones as far doing things on the computer, are you guys using windows xp or vista as this phone only has drives for and supports only windows xp.

my p168 quad works now that Ive added an ATT data service, media net isnt supported on these.

I have the same problem with a new CECTP168 when the message ask me to put the code 1122 (as printed in the manual) a message prompt "wrong password" Is any one can help me?

my phone is off and won't come back on either. I have had it only a month.

I just got my phone today so I am sure I will have many questions to come but my first is that I connected it to the usb on my computer and my computer does not recognize it. I went to my computer, device manager, nothing. Tried all 8 of my usbs! It seems to be charging though...it shuts off then lights up black saying "bluetooth" then does the same thing over and over every 20 seconds or so. Does this mean it is charging??

he once u find the code in ur book how do u enter the code into the fone to unlock it and where in the book do u find the unlock code

in your book there should be a master unlock code look close cause i couldnt find it at first mine was 1122 it might work for yours give it a try

I ecently purchased a cect p168 and it is supposed to be unlocked. Does any oneknow how I can make it work with the centennial wireless network?

Jp, I got email to work now...apparently I cannot pop Gmail on this phone it might be due to the fact that i need SSL which i didn't see the option for on the phone.

theres a good youtube video on setting up the sms service and all that on the cect. u just have to put some settings in the right place and thats it

To setup for ATT is as follows

PW CINGULAR1
Auth Type set to Normal
and hit activate account

I have tried these and have yet to get it to work evidently I am missing something but I will keep at it until i can get it to work. Plus shake and tilt does not work yet on the A88. At least I have not gotten it to work. I got my pictures to slide by touching the screen.

Well first: AT&T GPRS direction is clearly included in one of the post bellow, so people please refer to that post and stop asking about it, one tweak I may add try port 8080 in the proxy setting if port 80 is not working.
Second: new area is there any update for the BOIS software (OS) for this phone to enhance the phone for the browser, the look and feel? If any one has any idea please share it.

I have a CECT A88 and I have AT&T. Can anyone help with the setup of email? Also, I already have pics on the phone. Is there a way to put the pics in a folder by subject? I would think that this could be done on my computer.

do you have AT&T? They tried but since it is a unlocked phone they referred me to Apple. I will call back again and see if they can give me the settings. which set of settings did you change?

you have to contact the phone company you have service with & they'll program it with you over the phone. It took us about 2 hours to do this but it is working amazingly now I have absulutly no complaints

If you still cannot open the phone call me at my work 832-204-2120 and I will talk you through it. It takes a few seconds to do that.

THE DEFALT PINE FOR THE CECT P168 IS 1122

I received my new CECT P168+ last week and it worked great until two days ago when I got a low battery warning. I switched the battery to one I had just charged and now when I press the on/off button, I get the Bluetooth screen and then the screen goes black and all of the buttons remain lit until I disconnect the battery.

I was given a suggestion of charging the batteries for 12 hours straight. I did this and still the problem remains. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

i just got the cect p168 yesterday and i had the same problem and i resolved so if you want it fixed so you can do picture messageing and to be able access t-zones then dial 611 and get the alternate number and call them on a seperate phone ad tell the customer support that you just got the cect p16 and that you need the setup for WAP and picture messaging and they will talk you through what needs to be done takes about 30 minutes.

You should turn off the phone before connect it to the pc, and then toro it on.
