Sep 21, 07 06:45 AM PDT
Here's yet another image of the Samsung smartphone that we covered yesterday, and this time there are solid specifications to go along with it. Known as the Samsung i780, it could also go by the moniker BlackJack 2 should it arrive Stateside. Inside, you'll get the following :-
- Hybrid Messaging
- QWERTY keyboard/Full Touchscreen
- Push E-Mail MSN
- GSM/3G
- Main camera - 3.2 megapixels
- Display - 65k TFT (2.55" , 320x320)
- Size - 115.9mm x 61.3mm x 13.3 mm
- Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional
- WLAN (802.11b/g)
- Optical Mouse
- GPS functionality
- Full Browser
- Bluetooth Stereo Music Profile (A2DP)
- Bluetooth v2.0 / USB 2.0
- microSD memory card slot
The Unwired has learned that the codename is SGH-i780, which suggests that it is a successor of the Blackjack, codenamed SGH-i607.The testing is well underway and we can hope to see the device soon

I bought the original blackjack for myself and my daughter last year. They have great features. I was very interested in the cool factor of the iphone, but never bought one. How do you edit excel and word files on it? And if you need to video something during a class or at a function, forget it. Its really just a touch ipod with a phone. The blackjack is a PDA/smartphone. Much cooler.

"All-in-all, this phone doens't even compare to the iPhone, and until you own one, you need to shut your mouthes!"
Chip, mate, you're either just a schoolboy or a sociopath or a combination of the two. Your "argument" only demonstrates that you're incapable of tenable and reasoned debate. The iPhone is not a, what is it, "revolutionary" mobile device.

I don't care what you say about the iPhone, it is by far the best phone that I have ever owned. I had a Blackjack before the iPhone and it was crap. It never got service anywhere and the thing was slower than hell. For all you iPhone hater, go to hell!

The iPhone is the most overrated phone to date. The SGH-i607 (blackjack) had its problems but the iPhone was a joke. What it has going for it is the fact that it's "cool". The new Blackjack should be sporting a full touch screen and Qwerty keyboard. 3.2 megapixel carmera and wi-fi. iPhone...sure.

hehe, iPhone fan, huh? There are probably Qwerty keyboard fans or Windows mobile fans (sic) out there. Not really an out-of-this world design, but this phone has a nice feature set.

Like the first Blackjack, this thing won't be around for long. As the Tuesday Night Tech guys always say, "I'd throw this thing in the lake and buy you an iPhone for being so mean to you."
