JVC of Japan has just announced the DLA-HD100 cinema projector that will boast some of the highest specifications ever, being 1080p24/50/60 capable and being versatile enough to be used to display in standard PC resolutions up to SXGA. You are faced with an array of inputs including a couple of HDMI ports, component, S-Video and composite connections. The contrast ratio is insanely high, rated at 30,000 to 1 where most high-end projectors max out at 15,000 to 1. The DLA-HD100's lamp emits 600 lumens, making it powerful enough to cover a 100" display from up to 20 feet away. Be prepared to dig deep if you want one though, as it will retail for approximately $7,336 when released this November.
