Mitsubishi Braille CD-R is brilliant

Published on09/ 4/07

This is one of those "Why didn't I think of that before?" moments - Mitsubishi has just released the Braille CD-R media that features a couple of layers of high viscosity ink which creates 0.1mm Braille bumps, enabling those well-versed with the Braille language to identify a particular CD. The Braille is pre-written though, so you won't be able to label your discs yourself, but you could play the association game with whatever was burnt. Hopefully this technology will be able to be transferred to DVDs as well as Blu-ray and HD DVD discs.
