Push It Alert: any web content sent to any data-enabled mobile device
Posted on Sep 26, 07 05:12 PM PDT

DEMO Fall - This one of my favorite services from DEMO. Push It Alerts takes any data from any server (web server, email server) and delivers it to any data-enabled mobile phone, it is carrier agnostic.
For example an entire web page can be sent to your mobile phones in a few seconds and it will perfectly fit the device’s small screen, even the ads are visible and clickable (Yikes!) On the photo, you can see that you have the exact same content on the cell phone and on the computer screen.
This can be used for email as well: you write an email with attached photos and by sending with Push It, it shows instantly on the mobile phone screen, see the second photo.
Global Mobile Technologies launched Push-It Alert at DEMO, but it is not yet available in the market. When integrated to websites, this will let users send content from the sites by simply entering their phone number in a field and click on the Push-It Alert button.

Hi Bruce,
God forbid!!! I am one of the founders and I guarantee that this will NOT occur. Just the opposite our gateway Prevents the spam. We have honestly taken all of this into account and have designed a system to protect the users. Without disclosing all of the 'tricks', there is a authorization process and other things that prevent it. The worst case is someone trys to spoof a number and the user gets a verification request they ignore. If repeated, we have a means of getting information on the spoofer and all that stuff..... I HATE SPAM as do you and the rest of the world. Have some faith and when you see it then give us your comments, as all inputs will be appreciated. Thanks for the honest and valid concern. Jeff

I work for the PR firm for Global Mobile and I've seen Push-It Alert in action. The user is totally protected by a double authorization process. The cell phone has to acknowledge, recieve and authorize so the user has the option of saying no if they don't want the content.

So, I can go to any Push-It web site, enter any cell phone number, and have it pushed to the phone? I see the next wave of SPAM on the horizon.
