SanDisk gets a new View on things
Sep 10, 07 10:19 AM PDT

Looks like SanDisk aims to really bite into Apple's domination of the portable media player market by releasing the Sansa View. This PMP will have the iPod nano in it's sights, so let us have a look at how it fares specification-wise. For starters, it won't be as slim despite measuring a svelte 8.8mm, but it does come with a 2.4" 320 x 240 resolution display and supports video playback at 30fps. It will come in 8GB and 16GB capacities, retailing for $149.99 and $199.99 respectively. An integrated FM tuner, a microSD memory card slot for expansion options, and a built-in microphone completes the list of features when the Sansa View is released this fall. Would you choose this over the new 3G nano? (Image shown is the original concept design)

I own the View (it doesn't look like that one in the picture) but I really like it. I got it from Sansa, www.shopsansa.com and It is the perfect PMP for videos. I have all of my favorite videos with me at all times, and i love it.

Wrong picture. That was the original design. The one SanDisk is releasing looks more like the Connect w/o the antenna.
