Sanyo launches PLV-Z2000 LCD projector
Posted on Sep 4, 07 10:18 PM PDT

Sanyo has just introduced the PLV-Z2000 LCD projector that comes with a whole host of impressive features including a new 3D color management system, a contrast ratio of 15,000:1, an advanced lens shifting function and what is touted to be the industry's quietest fan system. You get full HD resolution with this (1,920 x 1,080) so hooking up your PS3 or Xbox 360 to this would definitely be a mouth-watering experience. Video input includes two HDMI 1.3 ports, a couple of component inputs, composite, and S-Video. It is capable of projecting a 100" diagonal image from 10 to 20 feet away, making this suitable for those who have small home theater setups in their humble abodes. The Sanyo PLV-Z2000 will hit US shores sometime in October at the recommended retail price of $2,995.99.

My sanyo plvz2000 manual recommended that it be turned off at least every day. Not bad. Havn't read the info in my plvz2000 yet...and it's buried somewhere. THe light is hotter. Maybe youcan download the manual. I love the thing. I only watch DVD's on it, as I want the light to last. watching between 2-4 hours a day on it will probably give me 2 1/2 years of life on the bulb. I'm starting a lens cookie jar. I figure 50 cents a day will be more than enough.

If I have fast images like my ps3 games or fast motion from an action movie on blu-ray, is the picture going to frag up and look all choppy?

Beamer,
Did you build your own HTPC? If so where did you buy your components

I leave my "old" Sanyo PLVZ3 beamer on about 6 hours a day and already this works for over 3 years now :-)), I bet the new beamers only get better. Mine is connected to a HTPC computer for games and fun. I will buy *this* beamer when my old one breaks. I seen and had a lot of electronic stuff, and this Sanyo Beamer really made me happy.
