The BMW iDrive system was truly revolutionary when it was first released many years ago, but many people found it difficult to use. Well, all new things take time to adapt and hence the situation was no different with the iDrive system. The Smart Drive System concept from Hao-Chun Huang targets luxury SUVs and sedans by letting the driver control the vehicle’s infotainment system without taking their eyes off the road, although it did not mention how. I suppose you can shift the knob in different directions and turn it in circles…hey, doesn’t this sound exactly like BMW’s iDrive? I guess this is a generic solution that can be fitted into less luxurious cars.
