AUO In-Cell Multi-Touch Panel
Oct 18, 07 10:36 AM PDT

AUO has released a couple of in-cell multi-touch panel technologies that will be showcased at FPD International 2007, from October 24 to October 26, in Yokohama, Japan. This newly introduced small- and medium-sized display technologies will integrate touch function features into the TFT LCD manufacturing process without the need for an additional glass, hence enabling the final product to maintain a thickness of just 2.2mm at a resolution of 480 x 272, which by far and large is much thinner than conventional touch panel applications. Other advantages include superior anti-glare properties that retain proper image color saturation and readability under the sunlight. Since it also boasts real-time true multiple touch point detection, there is no need to be encumbered by frequent calibration of touch panel applications. Looks like things are really looking up for touch panel-based devices of the future. ( Add a comment, Search on eBay)
