Bendable OLED display from Samsung
Posted on Oct 24, 07 08:40 PM PDT

Samsung has achieved yet another first by introducing the first bendable OLED display in the work at the FPD International 2007 expo. This 4.3" display comes with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, a brightness level of 200 cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 1,000 to 1. While it looks operational already, Samsung officials have not released a hint on its actual development status as well as the time where it would go mainstream. Looks like a pretty neat idea - imagine rolling open your phone's display to a larger size whenever you want to enjoy movies on-the-go.
