Blu-ray drive for Macs
Oct 8, 07 10:08 AM PDT

FastMac doesn't serve burgers, but it is currently offering a Blu-ray drive that can be installed into Macs. This upgrade is backwards compatible with older machines such as the iBook G4 and the iMac G5, and of course caters for the newer 17" MacBook Pros and Intel-powered Macs. This FastMac offering also does 2x burning as well for you to archive your digital memories onto more portable media. The drive itself boasts everyone's favorite slot-loading mechanism, but one major drawback would be the $1,000 price tag that puts this just about out of reach for most folks.
