Ectaco iTRAVL NTL-9C translator device

Ectaco is currently offering the iTRAVL NTL-9C translator device that effectively allows you to converse from English to Chinese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian Spanish and back. I don't think this technology has advanced to a point where it is capable of understanding the "heart language" as well as its nuances, and the results will probably be something like what we find on machine translations. Other than text and speech translations, the iTRAVL also comes pre-loaded with a Fodor’s Travel Guide with maps and essential information for 50 cities and the CIA World Factbook for 180 countries worldwide. A 1GB SD card stores all the linguistic content and ships with the $599.95 device itself. This Windows CE-powered gizmo also boasts a touchscreen display, music player, games, calculator, metric converter, and word time clock utilities.
