Pioneer PD-D9 does SACD
Oct 9, 07 10:21 AM PDT

SACD is one format not many people have heard of, but Pioneer isn't about to put that format to sleep without any support after offering the PD-D9 player. This device not only plays SACDs, it also supports MP3 and WMA file formats as well to bridge the generation gap between MP3s and CDs. It comes with a Wolfson Twin DAC WM8741 chipset, 24 bit and 192KHz, and an integrated AM/FM radio tuner. The Pioneer PD-D9 can be yours today after you lighten your pocket of €850.

SA-CD is the real flesh of the musical experience in your home. If you are serious about music, then SA-CD is the way to go. It rivals vinyl in its warmth, but even outdoes vinyl in terms of depth, clarity and detail. Why not hear the format for yourself? There are almost 5,000 titles available and more coming every day. SA-CD is not dead. Its market is global! We in North America are really behind when it comes to hi-fi music listening. I couldn't imagine not having an SA-CD player now. I still have a nice CD player, but it doesn't match the reproduction of SA-CD. Multichannel is very involving. You owe it to yourself to hear it and then decide!

For audiophiles and people who are serious about high quality reproduction in their home, such a unit is highly anticipated by serious music listeners.
