Pseudo-format war heats up

Looks like the HD DVD camp aren't going to take things lying down, with a customary blurry spy pic of Wal-Mart offering a Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player that will retail for $198, dipping under the magical $200 mark. These units won't go on sale until the third of next month with each store receiving 18 of such units. It seems that this will be a "non-replenishable item", so chances are once it is gone, you won't be able to get it at that price any more. We've said it before - HD format war, who cares?
