Samsung E848 goes gold

The Beijing Olympic Games 2008 is less than a year away, and Samsung has not only commemorated the event with a Samsung AnyCall E848 cellphone but will also release a special edition that boasts the Midas touch, being dubbed the AnyCall E848 18k Gold Edition. is clad in the same precious metal that Olympic athletes will be vying for in Beijing China next year. This quad-band GSM cellphone ought to be able to work worldwide without any problem, and the $359 entry price isn't exactly too prohibitive. No word on its release date yet, but as sure as Marion Jones will be stripped of her gold medals, the Samsung AnyCall E848 18k Gold Edition will be released before the Olympic Games begin.
