Sleuth ECG Monitoring System Now here’s an interesting ECG system – the Sleuth ECG Monitoring System that uses wireless technology to monitor a patient’s ECG to detect possible diagnosis of arrhythmias and prevention of syncopal episodes. The entire system consists of a High Definition Implantable Loop Recorder (HD-ILR), a Personal Diagnostic Manager, a Base Station and a Monitoring Center that is staffed round the clock. The High Definition Implantable Loop Recorder is a small, thin device that constantly monitors the electrical activity of the heart, while the Personal Diagnostic Manager is a hand-held, multipurpose device that automatically retrieves and stores relevant ECG data from the HD-ILR. Not only that, it relays relevant information to the monitoring center in a secure manner. This makes healthcare all the more easy for everyone, including the patient and doctor.
