Sony has just released the HDMS-S1D Digital Photo Album that enables shutterbugs to archive, organize and enjoy slideshows of their digital photos in an orderly manner. This device comes with an 80GB hard drive, and can be hooked up to a HDTV via HDMI as you put your guests through a torturous time viewing up to 50,000 high resolution photos at any one time. Photos can be imported into the HDMS-S1D via multiple flash memory card formats, CD, DVD, USB or Ethernet. These photos, once imported can be managed using the included remote control and the device's intuitive interface. You can organize them by date, special occasions (birthdays and travel) using pre-selected icons, or into 3,000 different photo albums. If you're interested in picking this up, it is currently available from Sony Style retail stores, authorized dealers, and online sources for approximately $400.
