Toshiba releases Vardia RD-A301

Toshiba has just released the Vardia RD-A301 that comes with an internal 300GB hard drive, allowing you to record HD video on it or on HD DVD media in MPEG4 AVC/H.264 formats. Not only that, you'll be able to record on regular DVDs and DVD-RAM as well, increasing its versatility. Unfortunately, there is only a single HDMI output on the Vardia RD-A301, but it does come with a D4, an Ethernet port and S-Video ports among others. The Vardia RD-A301 retails for approximately €600, which is pretty reasonable considering the features it has. Would be better if it was a hybrid player though... ( Add a comment)
