Video Telephony: A Failing Technology?
Video phones used to be seen as the wave of the future, bit in fact, users don't like the service at all. Qualcomm spokesman CH Kim says "At first, when they purchase video telephony capable phones, they use it two or three times with friends and family, but that's it. They never use it again - they hate it! I actually have some friends now who are looking for phones that are NOT capable of video telephony..." Have you ever engaged in a video conversation? If so, what do you think?

Video Telephony can be used to much more things than between 2 people. I use it for video blogging, dating and traffic camera, the cost is not much higher than other services in the mobile network..

I recon that if a telco created a promotion charging voive rates for video rates, everyone would switch over...untill the rate switched back.

I have tried it, turned out to cost a fortune, never used it again, never missed it.
