Warwick Warp biometric system

The Warwick Warp biometric system could be the pioneer device where "unwarping" distorted fingerprints are concerned, and will definitely play an important role in mass-market biometric access systems. Where current commercial solutions have a 3% error rate, that is not good enough where military-grade installations and even airport security are concerned, which is where the Warwick Warp comes in handy. This unique system will ultimately filter out environmental distortion while unwarping the skin's contours in order to get the most accurate match possible, hence eliminating the error rate by a large margin. It is also interesting to note that such technology could be used by the forensics department as the long arm of the law attempts to nab perpetrators of crime.
