51GB HD DVD announced

There is a new HD DVD standard available - a triple layer HD DVD that brings up the total capacity to a whopping 51GB, making it more than a match for Blu-ray's 50GB disks. Needless to say, you probably won't see a sudden rush of content on these new disks so soon as you'll need to purchase a HD DVD player that can work with these new triple-layer HD DVDs. Is there anything Blu-ray can do that HD DVD cannot? In the meantime, folks in Japan are downloading high definition movies on their 100Mbps lines at home. Sob!
