Asus G1S CRYSIS notebook

Crysis is one game that has gotten gaming folks drooling all over the world due to its amazing graphics that will bring most computers out there to their knees with all the eye candy turned up to the max. Asus is up to the task, however, with a limited edition gaming notebook known as the G1S CRYSIS Special Edition. You get a GeForce 8600M GT Core graphics card inside - enough to run Crysis, but definitely not at full throttle. Other features include the ability to display incoming email, your schedule, MSN message notification and even remaining battery time via a separate window while you're busy blowing things up in the game. There is no word on pricing as at press time. Food for thought - don't you think gaming notebooks are pretty ironic? You'll probably need to be tethered to a power outlet just like a desktop most of the time anyway.

I bought my G1 to use on the 2 hour train trip to work. Battery does the distance, and performance is excellent. I did't get the G2 because the train seats are too small to accomodate the thing.
The G1 will run Doom 3 without difficulty.
