Creative Zen confirms 32GB upgrade
Nov 30, 07 08:41 AM PDT
Creative has just confirmed that its Zen portable media player will receive a memory boost, touching giddy heights of 32GB. Take that, iPod touch! Unfortunately, if you're interested in picking one up, you've got to wait until the second quarter of next year before it surfaces. For those who do not want to apply the principal of delayed gratification, the Creative Zen 2GB model is now available for $142. Would you choose this over the iPod range?

I'm not so sure...What the Zen says it can do and what it really can do are two different things. I own a 16gb and keep a paperclip attached to it since I have to reset so often. It is also VERY limited with videos.
I have to transfer ALL video to MP4 Ipod compatible then put it through Zens converter JUST to get it on my Zen.
I still love it and will keep with it and hope firmware takes care of everything.
It's still very ahead of flash storage with 16 now 32 and SDHC cards.

iPods are generally a waste of money if they're not free. Zen is the most user friendly multimedia device, where it would fall as the Linux of multipedia devices. I would definitely buy a Zen over an iPod or Zune.

definitely over a 80GB classic or nano but not a 16GB touch.
