Epson has uber thin E-Ink display
Posted on Nov 15, 07 11:55 PM PDT

Epson Seiko has just released a new E-Ink display that uses their very own proprietary TFT design, resulting in a 6.7" e-paper terminal panel that boasts a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 1,600 pixels. It measures a mere 3mm thin, weighs 57 grams, has a contrast ratio of 8 to 1, 43% reflectivity and a redrawing time of under a second (0.7s to be exact) - all these powered by a single CR1220 button cell battery which is good for roughly 1,400 screen redraws. There is no word on pricing and availability as at press time.
