Folding scooter from MIT
Posted on Nov 29, 07 09:58 PM PDT

An MIT group has taken the idea of a folding bicycle to the next level - this time, we're dealing with a folding electric motor scooter instead. These battery-powered scooters use a mere 150 parts. These scooters are meant to be part of a one-way rental system that is currently in use in Paris where bicycles are concerned. Swipe your credit card at the local scooter-charging station, head on to your destination and return it to any charger location within the vicinity. Sounds like a pretty efficient idea to reduce the clogged roads we face in urban areas these days. Hopefully there will be personal models being put up on sale.
