Fujitsu USB-powered 300GB Hard Drive

The Fujitsu External Hard Disk Drive (yes, that’s the product name) packs a lot of storage in a small box and most importantly, it is USB-powered, so there’s only one cable to transport. This looks like a good companion, but if you are using it for backup purposes (versus data transport), I’ll tell you that, in my experience, these portable hard drives tend to die a lot more than a fixed one inside your PC. Reasons include shocks and heat (smaller package). Loss is always a possibility, that’s why encrypting some data might be a good idea.
