H2O H3 waterproof headphones

H2O Audio has released a new pair of waterproof headphones known as the H3, and it takes on a new color scheme (black) instead of white and gray that is found in its previous iterations. The H3 will come with a couple of rubber earplugs sets that fit snugly over both left and right speakers, and can work up to a maximum of 10 feet underwater. Compatibility is pretty recent - the H3 works with H2O's current and 2006-2007 waterproof iPod cases only. How many of you go swimming with your iPod?

I have been swimming with my ipod for a couple years now, both in a pool and open water. I have tried several cases and several headphones with mixed results. Overall swimming with music is great but some of the headphones have been cheap and awful sounding. The earlier H2O sounded tinny and not much better than the cheaper ones available. I like the H2O case but have also done well with otterbox cases.

The beset thing by far though has been my recent purchase of the swimman setup of shuffle and headphones. I held off buying this for a long time due to the higher cost but am SO PLEASED NOW that I have tried it. Their headphones are the best BY FAR that I have used and well worth the extra cash for the tight seal, good bass, and solid overall sound. Their waterproofed shuffle is also very cool. I already have a case for my ipod video and an iphone but the shuffle they sell rocks for swimming and watersport. They actually waterproof the shuffle itself, INSIDE the shuffle. The convenience of this in size is not to be underestimated. you can clip the shuffle and tie the headphones right to your goggles or clip/stash the shuffle in any suit. The headphones do work best with goggles though since they benefit from clipping onto a head strap.
