Med-ePhone system reminds patients

Looks like you no longer need mom to nag you - the Med-ePhone system does it for you, reminding you to take your medication on a regular basis. In addition to talking you into doing so, it will record and monitor patient medication adherence as well as health status over cellphones and landlines. The Med-ePhone system can also alert loved ones and/or care managers whenever the patient's medications are missed, so they can do their part to encourage the patient to stick to the medical regiment. Med-ePhone users will receive a maximum of three daily reminders that include prompts to provide answers to simple health status queries. The Med-ePhone is currently under development and being tested, and will probably roll out for commercial use sometime early next year.
