PS3 overtakes Wii in Japan

Guess at the end of the day, price really matters as evident by the PS3 overtaking its arch-nemesis, the Wii in Japan last week. More than 55,000 PS3 units were moved compared to over 34,000 Wiis. This is most probably due to the recent $100 price cut by Sony for its 80GB model as well as the introduction of a 40GB model. This is a no-brainer, really, as a cheaper price would mean those who have been sitting on the fence all this while jumping at the opportunity to do so. As for folks in the US, we're still waiting for the TV recording feature.
