The BD-P1400 is Samsung’s third generation of Blu-Ray players. The player is compatible with HDMI 1.3, which supports
- 10.2 Gbps bandwidth
- Automatic audio syncing.
- Dolby TrueHD
- DTS-HD
Of course, to take advantage of these features, you will need a large 1080p television and and excellent surround sound setup. Of course, it’s backwards compatible with current DVD discs and it might even make them look better by upscaling and filtering the video.
