Unlocked iPhones in Germany
Posted on Nov 19, 07 07:14 PM PDT
Vodafone recently obtained a Court order that requires T-Mobile Germany to sell Apple's iPhone to Germans - minus a service plan. This temporary injunction requires T-Mobile to respond within a couple of weeks' time, and Deutsche Telekom (the parent company of T-Mobile) aims to overturn the ruling by appealing. Should this injunction actually go through, we could see a potential halt of iPhone sales in Germany since both T-Mobile and Apple have come to an agreement that the iPhone can be sold only with a service plan.

I am still miffed of what the big deal is with the iPhone to begin with, its an over glorified cell phone is all. Heck I am at a loss as to why they just don't sell them in the states out right and keep trying to block those that unlock them, do they not realize that they will make a ton more money just selling them out right.
