VertiPod is Segway of the sky
Posted on Nov 28, 07 11:05 AM PDT
The VertiPod carries you about in a similar manner as the Segway… except for the fact that this device keeps you afloat between five to 15 feet above the ground and boasts a top speed of 40mph. Steering it is pretty easy - all you need to do is lean towards the right direction and you're good to go. Each purchase comes as a self-assembly kit, so it is time to break open that hardware box in your home.
The VertiPod comes with a $10,000 price tag along with a petrol or ethanol engine. No idea on when it will be commercially available though, but should the VertiPod get popular in urban areas, it is time for the local municipal council to rewrite traffic laws? Do they count as a motorist or pedestrian?
