A-Data releases 64GB SSD
Dec 27, 07 09:50 PM PDT
A-Data from Taiwan has rolled out a 64GB SSD that comes in 1.8" or 2.5" sizes, with a choice of SATA or PATA interfaces to choose from. The drives will be made using multi-level cell technology which is cheaper to produce. It looks as though 64GB is the point at which these SSD drives are perceived as being "good enough" for use within a laptop, since it offers a fair amount of size for the average user while boasting lower power consumption and superior access (seek) times compared to regular hard drives.
