Posted on Dec 2, 07 08:06 PM PDT
The Aegis Vault is a new line of portable USB-powered hard drives that not only carry your data around in a convenient and small package, it does so with care thanks to hardware encryption as well as shock mounting in the event you experience a case of sudden butterfingers. AES 128-bit hardware encryption is used to encode data in real-time, ensuring they're only accessible via a correct password. Data safety is augmented with a 16-point system to prevent accidental damage. There will be 80GB, 120GB, 160GB and 250GB versions available, retailing for $169.99, $199, $229 and $299 respectively. Head on here for more portable USB hard drives we’ve seen so far.
