Halluc II robot

The Halluc II robot is one interesting artificial lifeform that features eight legs that double up as wheels, allowing it to roam around its environment in half a dozen different ways. It can opt to move forward on its legs or run on the wheels, or even step up the stairs. Measuring 80.5cm long, the Halluc II tips the scales at 20kg and boasts 56 motors - 7 for each leg. There are 13 distance sensors and a couple of lasers used for obstacle detection. The Halluc II will be able to transform to plain wheel mode, insect mode and animal mode, depending on the situation. I can't quite think of any practical use for this other than bringing me my morning paper from the lawn. I suppose the military will have a more creative use for it.
