NEC Lui Personal Solution
Posted on Dec 4, 07 08:57 AM PDT
NEC has just launched its new Lui Personal Solution 'On Demand' system. In essence, it is a device meant for personal/home usage, and comes complete with a central server and different clients in the form of a notebook. Client devices won't come with any OS installed, but they can remotely access the server so that you can access Windows Vista. These two devices can also stream virtually any media with a limitation to DRM content. Heck, you can even access the Lui Server from your TV or any other media system such as a video game console, but that feature will only be available in the future. WiMAX is the connection protocol of choice for the entire system to work seamlessly without a hitch. It will be released in Japan sometime next year at a yet undisclosed price.
