Optimus OLED Keyboard Pushed to February 2008
Posted on Dec 26, 07 10:41 AM PDT

We have been talking about the Optimus OLED keyboard since 2006, and the wait is not over: the Optimus Keyboard won’t be fully ready until February 2008, because the software hasn’t been completely worked out.
If you haven’t heard of this keyboard earlier: each key is a tiny display that can be reprogrammed, depending on the context, to adjust to a particular software - or language. It is just uber-cool.
It looks like Art Lebedev will ship the pre-ordered keyboards with the current firmware. It’s not clear what the software issue is, but it is hopefully not too bad and users can simply update the device later. Virtual demo, Product website, Pre-order ($462)
