Phone checks your liver status
Posted on Dec 13, 07 08:09 PM PDT

Drinking and getting drunk is a pretty big problem these days, and most young folks don't see the long-term impact of their habit on their livers. Researchers at the Korean Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology have developed a liver checking sensor which hooks into your cellphone via the battery port and performs a quick check on two enzymes in your blood. Once it is done with checking these levels, the numbers are then sent to a participating hospital - allowing doctors on duty to analyze that data and issue you with a statement to a) go on drinking a couple more pints or b) check in to the nearest rehabilitation center.
