PSP Update 3.8 has a PVR!

While the PS3 might not get TV recording capabilities anytime soon in the U.S (why?!), the PSP will record TV after the 3.8 update, at least for those equipped with a 1Seg TV Tuner. As you can guess, shows will be stored on the memory stick. The 1Seg has a TV guide, so it’s possible to schedule a recording, but it is too intensive to let you play or do anything else while recording… Other features:

  • BB Mobile Point Compatibility (for downloads)
  • Internet Radio

No word on when this update will arrive to the U.S, with all the features mentioned above.

You guys are idiots... you want the new versions?? Use a wireless internet connection and there's an option to download the newest version from the internet. Keep in mind, as of now, there's now going back. My friend screwed up my PSP by upgrading it when he was trying out his new game.
