Tekken Movie?
Posted on: December 21, 2007

I always liked the fact that arcade games scenarios can usually be written on a smurf’s Kleenex, but what’s good for a beat-them-up fighting game might not be such a good idea for a Hollywood movie. People just don’t learn form the past, let’s say from… Street Fighter 2, the movie.
Anyhow, the man who is supposed to pull this off is Dwight Little, whose work can be seen in Steven Seagal’s “Marked for death”… (Tekken 5)

i personally think Tekken is above the average fighting game. it is probably the most complex story i've ever seen in a fighting game and i think it would make a great movie. i love Tekken and hope to God that they make a good movie. unfortunately that isn't going to be the case because directors and producers can't help but add their own twist to video game stories and no matter how creative they think they are, they ALWAYS fail. i think it's worth a try to make a movie that is actually faithful to the game and see how it goes.
