Toshiba Super Charge ion Battery
Dec 11, 07 10:01 AM PDT

Toshiba announced its 'Super Charge ion Battery', also known as SCiB. This lithium-ion based battery offers a speedy charge-up time of a mere 5 minutes, translating into a 90% capacity. It also has an expected life span of over 10 years according to Toshiba - I have a feeling your gadgets will probably die off first before the battery does. Unfortunately for the rest of us consumers, the SCiB will be handed over to the industry first before it even trickles down to our level. In the mean time, you'll just have to be content with whatever your lot is where powering devices are concerned.
