Vacuum Broom concept

While both the vacuum and broom perform the same function - that is, cleaning up dirt, they do it very differently. Why not merge both functions in a single device? That's exactly what happens with the Vacuum Broom concept. This lightweight and compact device looks like any other broom save for the fact that there are suction ducts inside each hollow bristle, making this sound like a good candidate for hard floors as well as area rugs. Designed by Wilson Song, the Vacuum Broom looks pretty thin and seems to work sans wires. I wonder how long the internal battery of such a device can last should it ever make it into production? I guess those with large homes will have to stick to the traditional individual broom and vacuum cleaner for a thoroughly clean pad.
