Xbox 360 HD DVD emulator from MS
Posted on Dec 13, 07 08:08 PM PDT

Microsoft has just made known its new software that claims to "streamline development / testing for HD DVD content" as well as "accelerate the advancement" of next-generation interactivity. In layman's terms, this means the Xbox 360 HD DVD Emulator enables studios to "model the behavior of HD DVD disc content, including encoded video and HDi interactivity, in a virtual environment." When fully utilizes, companies will be able to reduce the amount of time wasted but will first have to pony up $2,999 in addition to owning an Xbox 360, a HD DVD peripheral and a connection to Xbox Live.
