Asus Capitalizes on the Eee Brand, Launches E-Desktop, E-Monitor and E-TV

Digitimes reports that Asus has announced the Eee family of products, reinforcing the company’s idea that computing should be easy, cheap and well-designed. E stands for “Easy”.
E-DT- Desktop PC (no monitor included)
- Launch in April or May 2008
- First shown at CEBIT
- Intel Celeron CPU
- $200 to $300 at launch, then below $199 in the future
- 42” LCD TV
- Embedded computer running on Linux
- Only $200 more expensive than “dumb” TVs
- Launches in September
- All-in-one Computer (like the iMac)
- 19 to 21 inches
- TV Tuner
- $500 (iMac is 1200)
