B&O Self-calibrating Robo TV
Posted on Jan 31, 08 09:20 AM PDT

Bang & Olufsen (B&O)'s BeoVision 4 plasma TV not only comes with 1080p resolution support, it is capable of calibrating itself after 100 hours of viewing is up in order to make sure that the images you get is always presented in a manner closest-to-life as possible. It accomplishes this without the assistant of any human, using a short robotic arm that comes with a camera at the end to take a test photo. The snapped image's color temperature will be analyzed on screen before the TV's settings are adjusted accordingly. Sounds pretty neat, and the BeoVision 4 will come in 50" and 65" configurations that retail for $7500 and $13,500, respectively.
