C2 Climate Control

[CES 2008] Ever worked in an office where the air-conditioning is way too cold for you, or you're sweating despite everyone else against you lowering the temperature? The C2 Climate Control from Herman Miller does away with all that and more. Using less than 1.5 amps of AC current (approximately 90% less energy than a standard space heater), the C2 is able to affect up to 18" space between the device and the user. I like the touch sensitive controls, and the C2 does more than just heat or cool the surrounding area but cleans the air as well. The $280 price tag might be a little bit prohibitive though, and I can think of two cheap solutions for the miserly - get a thick jacket if you're cold, or a USB-powered fan if you're hot. The design is definitely interesting though.
