Dell Ubuntu Powered XPS M1330 Notebooks

Dell will be selling its Ubuntu-powered XPS M1330 notebooks for less than the $1,000 mark, targeting those who prefer to work with a penguin instead of in an environment filled with shards from broken windows. This new offering featuring Ubuntu 7.10 pre-installed will be available in Germany, UK, France, Spain and the US, with the option for users to include Corel LinDVD with each purchase by forking out additional dough (but of course). Word has it that Dell has also started to sell a fair bit of their Linux systems with proprietary NIVIDA graphics drivers installed and 3D effects enabled for superior portable performance. Sounds like a sweet deal - any takers?
