Dummy Camera aims to fool
Posted on Jan 8, 08 04:20 PM PDT
[CES 2008] This Dummy Camera aims to fool folks into thinking that your pad or office is well protected, but it actually resembles the real thing without any recording capability of sorts. The camera itself measures a realistic 4" x 2.25" x 2" and comes with a mount to deter would-be thieves from breaking into your home whenever you're away for a long vacation. The housing is made out of weatherproof anodized aluminum, so you won't experience rust anytime soon that gives the game away. The blinking red LED light is powered by a couple of AA batteries in order to up the realism ante. Too bad you can't remotely control it to pan and tilt at random to fool folks. Do you think having something like this at home will act as a deterrent?
