Gigabyte Guns for Low-Cost PC
Jan 17, 08 12:36 AM PDT

Gigabyte will be releasing a new low-cost computer sometime this June, joining the ranks of Asus' Eee PC and the Everex CloudBook. This low-cost alternative will be powered by Intel's Basic Platform along with a panel size that ranges from 7" to 9". No idea on how much this model will cost, but it ought to be pretty easy on your pocket if you are looking for a low-cost alternative machine that works just fine for casual Web browsing, e-mail and Office productivity programs.

Competition for the EEE PC? What is needed most is a SIRF-3 Internal GPS chip, a touch screen, built in speakers, bluetooth, 802.xx wireless, 3 mini USB ports, docking capability and a folding keyboard.
